Due to the launch of a company branded credit card to its respective customers, Ulta Beauty’s back office was facing increased pressure to handle higher workload volumes and maintain SLA commitments. Given the client did not have an automation program before, the management team decided to create an automation program and a Center of Excellence that could address the needs of the Finance department, and once the program matured, expand capability to additional departments.
Ulta Beauty sought to implement digital workers to increase its back-office capacity, enable its employees to focus on thought-intensive work, and upskill staff on automation tools to prepare them for the future state of work.

Reveal Group worked with Ulta Beauty’s management to create a tailored robotic operating model, specifically to their needs, to enable governance and scalability for all facets of its automation program. Over the course of a 12-week delivery wave, 6 staff members in the Finance department were upskilled. The newly enabled team of RPA modelers will deliver from pipeline of 20+ identified processes in future delivery waves.
