Reveal Group applied and tailored a rapid, repeatable, and scalable process assessment framework (i.e., the Operational Diagnostic) to identify suitable candidates for automation and opportunities for process improvement.
In just six weeks, our experts assessed the work of 600 employees and identified 274 processes to be considered for automation. Upon further evaluation, 81 processes were selected for walkthrough sessions and 52 of these were identified as suitable for automation.
Our roadmap to opportunities allowed the team’s automation to increase speed and accuracy, reduce costs and improve customer experience.
The medical device manufacturing company had an active automation program generating many benefits but noticed their automation opportunity pipeline was drying up quickly. Their Operational Excellence team needed to have a systematic way to review opportunities that were fit for automation while implementing a standard across all processes. They sought help from Reveal Group, an experienced partner with a well-established methodology for identifying, scoping, and prioritizing automation opportunities quickly.
The department Reveal Group worked with directly was the Customer Care team. The key challenge we discovered across multiple teams was the presence of unstructured data (emails and PDFs). The Operational Excellence team’s lack of experience with Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) solutions enabled Reveal Group to step in and provide the expertise needed to utilize those technologies when building out their automation program.
